Content Strategy
Content strategy describes the process of determining the types of website content will help meet business goals and audience (user) goals. It encompasses information architecture, or the way that content is organized on a website so that it can easily be found. It's also a term used to describe the whole lifecycle of content development, from planning an editorial calendar, publishing content, setting content governance policies, and measuring content success.

Content Strategy Can Help Determine:

  • What copy, images, and video will support a business or organization's marketing goals
  • What key messages and calls to action need to be communicated on each page to drive results
  • What content is popular and what types of content your target audience is looking for
  • How content should be organized on a website and what navigation labels, categories and tags should be used

  • Who makes editorial decisions about content
