Remote Team Building & Our SBS Team Resolutions for 2022

Happy New Year! At SBS, we are committed to building happy, healthy, and inclusive communities—including our own community of remote workers. As a 100% remote office with employees spread across two states, we know that finding ways to share and have fun together makes us all feel more joyful and connected. We incorporate many remote team building activities throughout the year to keep up morale, learn about one another, and find work/life balance.

Past Remote Team Building Activitie

Although we know many clients, friends, and family members have had to transition to remote work over the past two years, we've been working remotely with each other for over half a decade.

Over that time, we've explored a lot of remote team building activities. Here are a few of our favorites:

Team Building in 2022

To kick off 2022, we decided to incorporate a new remote team building tradition: sharing our New Year's Resolutions with each other. This year, we wanted to share them with you as well (and we hope you'll share yours too).

"My personal resolution is to keep building on my progress on my fitness goals. My professional resolution is to keep developing our team's future-focused marketing skills."

"This year I want to be a tourist in my local region. I want to explore new hikes, geographical landmarks, small businesses and quirky attractions in my home state and the surrounding area."

"My resolution is to listen to my body when I'm approaching my limits, and avoid burnout."

"I've been learning to lift weights, and I really want to commit to getting better at it in the new year! My goal is to be able to deadlift 150 pounds by 2023."

"My top resolution is to start meditating every day again. I also want to find better ways to stay connected to friends, even if we can be face-to-face."

"Scheduling time for lunch with my husband at least a couple times a month (even if it means eating leftovers together at our dining room table!)"
